The car in comic strips
Fasten your seatbelts, we're off!
In collaboration with the Spa-Francorchamps Racetrack Museum, the greatest comic book heroes come to life to take the wheel of their vehicles, now as legendary as their drivers. More than a hundred original plates and silk screens are on show all along the course. Racing cars of all kinds, drawn with talent and passion by Franquin, Hergé, Tillieux, Will, Jijé, Jidéhem, Hardy, Sokal and others, can be directly compared with scale models, such as the 1/12 scale versions created by Aroutcheff.
Need a little adjustment? A problem with the engine? Engine lovers are welcome at the reproduction of Isidore's garage!
And that's not all! Life sized vehicles, inspired by the cartoons, are placed in their original settings - Gaston Lagaffe's Fiat 509, Michel Vaillant's Lotus 49, Ric Hochet's yellow Porsche, or even Tintin's Amilcar - look out for traffic jams!
Not forgetting, indeed, the three places devoted to the great Franco-Belgian writers, Hergé, Franquin and Graton, who with a master-stroke of the pencil conveyed their passion for the automobile to millions of readers.
En route for a journey across the boards!
With the support of the Walloon Region Commissariat Général au Tourisme
